In a groundbreaking initiative, Zoomlion Ghana Limited, renowned for its expertise in waste management across Africa, is sending 18 beneficiaries of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Waste and Sanitation Module on a 21-day mission to Belarus and Russia.

This unprecedented opportunity aims to expose the beneficiaries to effective sanitation and waste management practices, fostering their personal and professional development.
The trip seeks to introduce street sweepers to innovative sanitation approaches, including the deployment of workers, sanitary tools, and sweeping methods.
It follows a previous trip by company executives who observed waste management practices and identified areas for adaptation and implementation.

Zoomlion’s Managing Director, Gloria Opoku Anti, emphasized the collaborative aspect of the initiative.

She stated, “We aim to collaborate with our international counterparts to identify waste management opportunities and implement street-sweeping initiatives. This collaborative approach ensures that we are all part of the solution.”
Opoku Anti highlighted the initiative as a significant milestone in Zoomlion’s commitment to empowering street sweepers and enhancing sanitation practices. She stressed the transformative power of education and exposure in improving lives and communities.
Beneficiaries, including Felicia Larbi Okai and Solomon Dankwa, expressed gratitude for the opportunity. Okai, a Zoomlion employee of 16 years, pledged to share the knowledge gained with her colleagues.
Dankwa hoped that the training would equip him with the skills needed to enhance cleanliness in his community.
During the 21-day trip, participants will learn and explore new ideas to implement upon their return.
The initiative is expected to yield valuable insights and innovative solutions to sanitation challenges, demonstrating Zoomlion’s dedication to sustainable practices and investing in the next generation of sanitation leaders.
