Zooey Deschanel First Husband: Who is Ben Gibbard?

Ben Gibbard is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist. He is the first husband of Zooey Deschanel an American actress, singer, and songwriter.

The former couple got married on September 19, 2009, near Seattle, Washington. On November 1, 2011, they announced their separation.

Zooey Deschanel filed for divorce on December 27, 2011, citing “irreconcilable differences”. The divorce was finalized on December 12, 2012.

Ben Gibbard is best known for his work as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie, with whom he has released ten studio albums, and as a member of the indie pop band The Postal Service.

Ben Gibbard released his debut solo album, Former Lives, in 2012, as well as a collaborative studio album with Jay Farrar, One Fast Move or I’m Gone (2009).

Gibbard appeared in the John Krasinski film Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, which was based on David Foster Wallace’s short story collection of the same name.
