Zhang Shuai is a Chinese professional tennis player, with a career-high singles ranking of world No. 23, achieved on 14 November 2016. She also has a career-high doubles ranking of No. 3, reached on 13 June 2022.

Zhang has won 26 singles titles: 21 on the ITF Circuit, three on the WTA Tour – at the Guangzhou International Women’s Open in 2013 and 2017, and the WTA Lyon Open in 2022 – and two on tournaments of the WTA 125K series.
In doubles, she has won 21 titles, 12 on the WTA, including the 2019 Australian Open and the 2021 US Open, both times partnering with Samantha Stosur.
Zhang Shuai was born on 21 January 1989 to father Zhang Zhiqiang and mother Wang Fengqin.

Zhang Shuai has not disclosed information about her parent’s age, date of birth, etc but they are often seen together. It is also not known when her parents got married.
However, Zhang credits her tennis career to the influence of her parents.
This is because her parents took her to a local tennis club for her to start playing tennis when she was six years old.
