Veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji has revealed that he is not entirely Nigerian, sharing new details about his identity and heritage.

According to the seasoned actor, he is a citizen of Gabon, where he was born.
In a recent podcast interview, the actor, well-known for his fierce performances in the Nigerian movie industry, opened up about this lesser-known aspect of his life.
Zack Orji, whose birth name is Zubby Michael, explained that his birth in Gabon was due to his father’s frequent travels for work.
Delving into his ancestry, Orji shared that his father gave him the middle name Amaefuna, which means “Let my heritage not be lost.” This name signifies the importance of preserving his cultural roots.

Orji described a recent trip back to Gabon as a significant moment in reconnecting with his heritage. He explained how his career has allowed him to travel extensively, much like his father’s experiences.
This journey back to his origin country not only enabled him to explore his family history but also provided an opportunity to shoot a movie there.
