Professional Debut and Akita Years Togashi’s professional journey began in January 2013 when he joined the Akita Northern Happinets of the bj league in Japan. His debut game was a showcase of his potential, recording an impressive 15 points, 11 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. He continued to make waves throughout the 2012–13 season, consistently contributing in points, assists, rebounds, and steals.

A Stellar Season and Accolades The 2013–14 season saw Togashi rejoin the Akita Northern Happinets, marking his first full professional season. His performance during this season was nothing short of spectacular, with averages of 16.3 points, 7.6 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game. This stellar performance earned him the distinction of being the youngest player to be named to the bj league’s Best Five Team and the MVP of the league’s All-Star game in January 2014.
