Yudai Baba is a professional basketball player who plays for the Japanese national team, as well as the Texas Legends of the NBA G League.

Baba has represented Japan at various tournaments including the FIBA Asia Cup, and the FIBA Basketball World Cup, averaging 9.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals in five games.

During the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup, Baba was named “Japan’s best free throw shooter with 100 percent free throw percentage.”

The Japanese-born player played high school basketball at Toyama Daiichi High School, and played college basketball for the University of Tsukuba.

He has additionally played for Alvark Tokyo of the B.League, the Texas Legends, and later Melbourne United of the Australian National Basketball League (NBL).
