Yan Bingtao Girlfriend: Who Is Ada Zhang?

Yan Bingtao’s girlfriend is Ada Zhang.

Zhang accompanied Bingtao, who is now based in Sheffield, when he came to live in the UK. Like Bingtao, she is a Shandong native and now works in the UK.

At the 2021 Masters, Zhang made her way into the Marshall Arena during the player’s celebrations.

Speaking fluent English, she helped BBC reporter Jason Mohammad to conduct the interview, acting as an interpreter.

She was also pictured alongside Bingtao as he lifted the Paul Hunter trophy.

Yan Bingtao first made headlines when he became the youngest player to win the IBSF Amateur World Snooker Championship in 2014. He was only 14 years old. He beat Pakistan’s Muhammad Sajjad 8-7 in the final.

Early in the 2019–20 season, Yan won his first ranking title in the Riga Masters at the age of 19. He became the third Chinese player to win a ranking title (after Ding Junhui and Liang Wenbo).

Yan began to feature in professional competitions at the start of the 2013–14 season, aged 13, in Asian Players Tour Championship events, and as a wildcard player in Chinese ranking tournaments.

His first win against a professional came in his first match, against Vinnie Calabrese in the 2013 Yixing Open. He also secured wins over Stuart Bingham, Yu Delu, Barry Pinches and Liang Wenbo during the 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons.

He reached the last 32 of the 2014 Wuxi Classic and 2014 Shanghai Masters.
