Malaysian field hockey player, Yaha Atan has died of stroke at age 67 after he slumped in his bathroom.

On February 25, he was rushed to Kuala Lumpur hospital and the doctors declared him dead after his breathing stopped
The Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) announced that we have lost a legendary player and a former coach.
Atan was the head coach of the former national men and women hockey team.
Many commonly called him a Pakya to remember his name easily. When it comes to training, he was very strict. Sometimes he pushes very hard to his team where the team has to bear more pain and more struggle to get amazing results.

But despite his tough personality, Atan was kind, gentle, and soft-hearted.
Atan was someone who really passionate about hockey and spent his time developing his sports skills.
The Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad had also sent his best wishes and prayers to his family via post.

Whether or not Yahya Atan was married remains unknown. Little information is known about his personal life such that, it is untold who the wife of the Malaysian golfer is.
