The Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association’s Xavier Justis Tillman Sr. team was founded on January 12, 1999 in the United States (NBA). For Michigan State University’s Spartans, he played college basketball.

As the 35th choice overall in the 2020 NBA Draft, Tillman was selected by the Sacramento Kings. On draft night, he was switched, though, to the Memphis Grizzlies. Tillman joined the Grizzlies on November 28, when he signed his rookie contract. In a 137-139 loss to the Denver Nuggets in double overtime on April 20, 2021, he set career highs with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Tillman had a triple-double against the Golden State Warriors in the Grizzlies’ 117-112 victory in the second play-in game of the postseason, scoring 11 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and stealing 3 balls.
