Wizkid’s ‘Ojuelegba’ Ranks Number 1 on Soundcity TV’s Top 50 Songs Of The Decade

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Wizkid, has reached another milestone in his music career as Soundcity TV named his ‘Ojuelegba’ one of the songs of the decade.

Soundcity announced this through the release of their list of top 50 songs of the decade their Twitter page, with Wizkid’s ‘Ojuelegba’emerging number 1 on the list.

The song was released in 2015 and produced by Legendary beats and the video was shot by video director, Clarence Peters. The song highlights Wizkid’s struggles as an underground artist, who roamed the streets of Oluelegba to support his music career.

The song received numerous airplay on major radio and TV platforms in Nigeria and peaked number 1 on Capital Xtra’s Afrobeat Chart for February 2015. The song also ranked 12th on the Fader’s list of the 107 Best Songs of 2015. Before the release of the song, Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie released his rendition of Oluelegba.
