Willard Lee Boyd also contributed to the development of the faculty of the University of Iowa College of Law as the Rawlings/Miller Professor of Law and President Emeritus. Willard Lee Boyd was born on 9thth March 1927 in St. Paul, MN, United States.

He grew up on common health and attended Murray High School, the University of Minnesota, the University of Minnesota Law School in 1951and the University of Michigan Law School.
