Grammys 2022 will recognize the best recordings, compositions, and artists of the eligibility year, running from September 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021.
Grammys 2022 was originally scheduled for January 31, 2022, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles; however, on January 5, 2022, the Recording Academy postponed the ceremony indefinitely due to health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 Omicron variant.
On January 18, 2022, the ceremony was rescheduled to April 3, 2022, and switched its location to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

South African comedian Trevor Noah, who hosted the previous ceremony on March 14, 2021, will return as host.

The Foo Fighters will no longer perform at the 2022 Grammy awards following the death of Taylor Hawkins, the Recording Academy has said.
A tribute to the drummer will take place at the 64th annual awards ceremony on Sunday, according to an official statement.
