He grew up in Sherman, Texas, not far from Dallas. His father Charles Larry died in 2001.
In 1997, Will Cain received his bachelor’s degree in telecommunications. Cain earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2000.

Cain moved to a ranch in Montana after law school, where he worked as a ranch hand while attempting to write a book. He is best known for appearing on ESPN and Fox News.

He co-hosts the Fox News television show Fox & Friends Weekend. Cain, in addition to presenting Fox & Friends Weekend, is a regular fill-in host on shows like The Five and Jesse Watters Primetime.
Cain worked as a writer and producer for the Fox and Friends and ESPN First Take television shows. He has also appeared on Hannity, Crossfire, The View, Real Time with Bill Maher, The Ryen Russillo Show, Mike & Mike, and The Stephen A. Smith Show, among others.Cain took over as interim host of Fox News Tonight in May 2023, after Tucker Carlson was fired.
