Irene Knight is the late wife of late music legend Wilko Johnson.

Irene and Johnson were childhood friends and they got married in their teens.

Together they had two sons, Matthew and Simon.

Irene passed away in 2004, after battling cancer.

Late Wilko Johnson was a guitarist, singer, songwriter and part-time actor.

He served in the 1970 rock/rhythm and blues band Dr. Feelgood.

Johnson was known to play his guitar without a pick but rather using a fingerstyle.

In 2011 and 2012 he was featured in the HBO series Game of Thrones; as well as the BBC4 documentaries Evidently… John Cooper Clarke and Punk Britannia.

The late actor was a graduate of the University of Newcastle, where he bagged a degree in English Language and Literature.

Johnson had co-authored his autobiography titled Looking Back at Me, in 2012.

Johnson passed away on November 21, 2022, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was aged 75.

He had been diagnosed with the ailment in 2013 and had to undergo a radical surgery.
