Why wasn’t Thomas Haden in No Way Home?

Contrary to widespread belief, Spider-Man  actor Thomas Haden Church was not in Spiderman: No Way Home because he wasn’t available at the time, so the producers ended up “manipulating footage from the previous films.”

Who Is Thomas Haden?

Thomas Haden is an actor, film director, and writer, known for playing Lyle van de Groot in George of the Jungle, and Sandman in the superhero films Spider-Man 3.

Born on June 17, 1960, in Woodland, California, Haden first came to prominence when he starred as Lowell Mather in the NBC sitcom Wings, which aired from 1990 to 1995.

He however got his breakthrough when he starred as the villainous Sandman in the blockbuster film Spider-Man 3.

In 2004, Church starred in the film Sideways, where he played Jack Cole. His role in the film had earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Haden has so far appeared in a variety of films such as George of the Jungle, Easy A, We Bought a Zoo, Killer Joe, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Over the Hedge, Smart People, Easy A, We Bought a Zoo, Max, Hellboy, Acid man, Nature, and Twisted Metal.

Haden additionally directed the film Rolling Kansas.
