former United States intelligence specialist and whistleblower Reality Winner was jailed because she leaked a classified document from the National Security Agency (NSA) to the media.

The document contained information about Russian interference in the 2016 United States presidential election. She was charged under the Espionage Act, which makes it illegal to disclose classified information to unauthorized individuals or entities.
Winner pleaded guilty to leaking the document, acknowledging that she violated federal law. In August 2018, she was sentenced to more than five years in prison, specifically 63 months. Additionally, she was given three years of supervised release following her imprisonment, and she was ordered to pay a fine.

What is Reality Winner doing now?
Reality Winner was released from prison in June 2021 after serving four years in prison. She is still on probation until 2024, which means she must be drug tested every two weeks, has a curfew of 10 p.m., and must obtain permission from her probation officer for overnight trips.
According to her Rolling Stone profile, she spends much of her time in her hometown of Kingsville, Texas, working out and caring for her horse, Trouble.
