Faces of Death is a 1978 American mondo horror film written and directed by John Alan Schwartz, credited under the pseudonyms, Conan LeClaire and Alan Black respectively.

The film, shown in a documentary-like style, centres on pathologist Francis B Gross, played by actor Michael Carr. The narrator presents the viewer with a variety of footage showing different gruesome ways of dying, from a variety of sources.

Why was Faces of Death made?
Faces of death was made wth money from a Japanese investor for the Japanese video market, who approached Schwart to make the movie with their idea in mind.
“The Japanese came to this small family film company and said to us, we want to make a movie about death”, said Schwartz.
