Why was Christopher Lambert not in Mortal Kombat 2?

Christopher Lambert, amongst many other members of Mortal Kombat 1, refuse to appear in the film’s second edition because they considered the script to be badly written.

The actors remained at the time were “Robin Shou (Liu Kang) and Talisa Soto (Princess Kitana).”

Christopher Lambert Acting Career

Christopher Lambert gained international recognition as Connor MacLeod in the Highlander film series.

The original Highlander movie, was released in 1986, and became a cult classic, and Lambert reprised his role in several sequels and a TV series.

Lambert further starred in the action thriller film The Hunted, playing the role of a tracker hunting down a rogue soldier.

In 1995, Lambert played the character Lord Rayden in the film adaptation of the popular video game Mortal Kombat.

Other films he has appeared include “I Love You, The Sicilian, Knight Moves, Fortress, and its sequel Fortress 2: Re-Entry, Mortal Kombat, Druids, Absolon, White Material, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Sobibor, Bel Canto, and Kickboxer: Retaliation.”
