Jared McCann was injured during the play and did not return to the game on Monday. McCann has already been ruled out of Game 5 by Kraken head coach Dave Hakstol.
Cale Makar was given a five-minute major penalty for interference, but the call was reduced to a two-minute minor after a review.
“I didn’t feel like I tried to finish him that far,” Makar admitted. “I believe that if I were in that situation, they would have done the same thing.” I’m not out to hurt anyone.”
Jared McCann led Seattle in scoring this season with 70 points, including a career-high 40 goals. Even without McCann in the lineup, the Kraken won 3-2 in overtime in Game 4 to tie the series at two games apiece.
