Following the booking of a professional boxing bout against Chase DeMoor, in June 2023, Belcher found himself stripped of his prestigious BKFC Heavyweight title. Despite this loss, he remains an active member of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship organization.

The 38-year-old athlete, who transitioned to bare-knuckle boxing after an illustrious mixed martial arts career, secured the BKFC Heavyweight title in February 2023. Belcher clinched the title with an impressive third-round knockout victory over Arnold Adams at the BKFC 36 event.

However, his excitement and anticipation for defending the title were cut short due to a recent career decision. The announcement of his professional boxing match against Chase DeMoor, while marking a notable move in his career, led to the unfortunate consequence of being stripped of the heavyweight title he had recently won.

Belcher, known for his proficiency in the fighting world, is set to continue his journey in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Although his title defense opportunity has been rescinded, he remains an active and formidable member of the BKFC roster.
