Yoda’s lightsaber was distinctive because of its diminutive size. Other than that unique feature, the weapon’s design was straightforward and consisted of an emitter shroud, a grip made of studded chrome, and a black trim. It has a Kyber crystal within that generates a vivid green plasma blade.

Yoda made his lightsaber under the supervision of Professor Huyang, an architect droid who had been with the Jedi Order since its infancy, just as many Jedi had done for hundreds of years. Yoda’s expedition to the frigid tunnels of Ilum to obtain a kyber crystal as a first step proved to be highly dramatic.

Why is Yoda special?

Yoda was a renowned Jedi Master who had a better connection to the Force than most. He was diminutive in stature but smart and strong. He trained Jedi for more than 800 years, playing crucial roles in the Clone Wars, Luke Skywalker’s training, and finding the key to immortality.

Who destroyed Yoda’s lightsaber?

During the Clone Wars, the green-bladed saber served its master well on numerous occasions. Unfortunately, Yoda eventually lost his weapon when he faced Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith, in the Senate Building. When Sidious used energy bolts to disarm him, the Jedi Master misplaced his lightsaber, which plummeted to the ground below.

Yoda’s prized lightsaber was destroyed as a result. Grand Vizier Mas Amedda spoke to a gathering of residents on Coruscant on the end of the Jedi Order and the liberties that the Empire would bring to the galaxy in the absence of the Jedi. He owned a collection of fallen Jedi lightsabers, including Yoda’s.
