Over two seasons at LSU, Shareef appeared in 24 games, averaging 2.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in 11.4 minutes.
Why is Shareef O’Neal not in the NBA? Shareef going undrafted in the NBA did not really come as a surprise especially when one takes into consideration his lack of playing time at the collegiate level.
Shareef dealt with heart and foot issues in his three years in college and in his final season at LSU only averaged 2.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 9.2 minutes per game.
