According to reports, the reason why Roger Maris could not be inducted into the Hall of Fame was that he could not receive the vote threshold from the sixteen-member committee appointed by the Hall of Fame to review a 10-candidate Golden Era ballot.

Roger Maris received three or fewer votes from the sixteen-member committee and that is what could not make him the best candidate to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Additionally, other people reveal that Roger Maris played baseball just for the financial benefits and not for records and that is also one of the reasons why he was not inducted.

MARIS single season HR record alone qualifies him for HOF. It took 34 years alone to break Ruth’s record and drug induced athletes will never be eligible for the HOF. Someone should ask Cooperstown HOF why they display Maris, Bat, Ball and other memento, talk about Hyprocracy of a financially motivated organization, Shame on HOF Voting members that are out of touch with reality.
