Why is Quentin Tarantino famous?

Quentin Tarantino is famous for being a renowned filmmaker. He is a writer, director, producer, and actor. His films are characterized by stylized violence, and extended dialogue including the pervasive use of profanity and references to popular culture.

Tarantino started his career in the early ’80s as an usher at an adult movie theatre called Pussycat Theatre located in Torrance.

He made his breakthrough in the ’90s  after he wrote and directed the 1992 crime thriller movie Reservoir Dogs. He also starred in the film as Mr. Brown. It was an immediate hit after it was screened at the Sundance Film Festival.

Tarantino was approached by several major film studios, offering him projects like Speed (1994) and Men in Black (1997). He wrote his best movie by far, Pulp Fiction in 1994.

His success continued through to the 2000s. He wrote and directed Kill Bill. He shared that the movie’s lead actress Uma Thurman was developed during the making of Pulp Fiction. He is set to release a new movie dubbed The Movie Critic.
