This comes after Phil Mickelson found himself embroiled in controversy over his PGA Tour criticism and comments he had made about the Saudi government speaking with author Alan Shipnuck about the Saudi Golf League.
When Phil Mickelson apologized for his comments, he said he needed to take “time away to prioritize the ones I love most and work on being the man I want to be.”
