According to reports, Maury Wills was not able to steal his way into Cooperstown and was rejected by the baseball writers for a number of years making him unable to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Maury Wills played for teams like the Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Montreal Expos, and a second stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Maury Wills then went ahead to serve as the manager for the Seattle Mariners from 1980 to 1981.
