The famed Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest’s Mustard Yellow Belt went to competitive eater Joey Chestnut (also known as “Jaws”) on July 4, who broke the previous record by devouring 75 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. This was his 13th victory in 14 years.
Chestnut broke his personal record of 74 hot dogs and buns set in 2018 at the occasion.

Chestnut, who was enrolled in a college nutrition course, asked the instructor for suggestions on how to approach training.

He has improved his routine over the past ten years, allowing him to eat more and recuperate more quickly.
Chestnut claims that despite the top prize in a Nathan’s Hot Dog competition normally being approximately $10,000, he earns about $300,000 a year from private and public firms that contract him to set culinary records using their goods on social media.
Chestnut said he usually trains for three months straight leading up to the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog tournament, beginning at the end of April with weekly practice runs on either a Saturday or a Sunday, followed by a few rest days.
