James Arthur is an English singer and songwriter who rose to prominence after winning the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012.

James Arthur was born on March 2, 1988, in Middlesbrough, the United Kingdom to his parents, Shirley Ashworth and Neil Arthur. James Arthur is 34 years old as of 1988.

James Arthur was raised alongside his siblings, Neil Arthur, Jasmin Rafferty, Charlotte Arthur, Neve Rafferty and Sian Arthur.

James Arthur started writing and recording songs when he was 15 years old. James Arthur began his career as an independent artist in 2011 when he uploaded a 16-track album titled ‘Sins by the Sea’ on YouTube and SoundCloud.
