The name Quaker Oats was chosen by one of the founders of the company, Henry Seymour, who found an encyclopedia article on Quakers and decided that the qualities described — integrity, honesty, purity — provided an appropriate identity for the company’s oat product.

The Quaker name was registered as the first trademark for a breakfast cereal in 1877. Quaker Oats can be a safe and nutritious food for babies when introduced at the appropriate age (typically 6 months).

Oatmeal is packed with essential nutrients including fiber, protein, and vitamins that are beneficial for your baby’s growth and development. To prepare Quaker Oats for your baby, you can cook them with water or milk until they reach a soft and creamy consistency.

You can also blend them to a finer texture if your baby is new to solids. To add flavor and more nutrition, you can mix in pureed fruits or veggies.
