College basketball player, Drew Timme decided to withdraw for the 2022 NBA Draft so he can return to school. College basketball senior writer, Seth Davis shared that it was a business decision.

“It’s simple, really. This was a business decision. Timme knows that if he had stayed in the draft, he was going to be a mid-to-late second-rounder at best, and there’s a very good chance he would not have been drafted. He is a great college player, but he doesn’t have enough shooting range to be an effective NBA forward, and defensively he would get lost. Those are two area he needs to improve upon,” he said.

“In the meantime , he can enjoy college life as one of the most recognizable faces in the sport, try to win an NCAA championship at Gonzaga, an make some serious scratch on the NIL front. It’s not what he wanted, but as far parting gifts go, it’s pretty good,” he added.
