Brockhampton was a self-described boy band, so-called in an effort to redefine the term and they were described by Complex magazine as “gay, black, white, DIY, ambitious, all-inclusive, and would-be pop stars.”
The group consisted of vocalists Kevin Abstract, Matt Champion, Merlyn Wood, and Dom McLennon, vocalists/producers Joba, Bearface, and Jabari Manwa and producers Romil Hemnani and Kiko Merley, as well as graphic designer Henock “HK” Sileshi, photographer Ashlan Grey, web designer Roberto Ontenient (who also featured prominently in voice skits), and manager Jon Nunes.
However, Kevin Abstract has confirmed that everyone mentioned are not the only ones working behind Brockhampton.

How is Brockhampton problematic?
Brockhampton has had their own fair share of controversies, leading to people believing that the group was problematic.
In May 2018, Brockhampton vocalist Ameer Vann was accused of sexual misconduct on social media.
According to Pitchfork, several women who either claimed to have been in relationships with Vann or knew the rapper otherwise took to Twitter with allegations of physical and mental abuse along with other illegal activities.
In later deleted tweets, Ameer Vann responded that while he admitted to being disrespectful to partners in the past, “I have never criminally harmed anyone or disrespected their boundaries. I have never had relations with a minor or violated anybody’s consent.”
