Why Is Bill Hudson Enstraged From Daughter Kate Hudson?

American singer and actor, Bill Hudson has not had a very healthy relationship with his celebrity children Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson for years. Kate, especially, has despised him for years and called him a deadbeat father on several occasions. This started when their mother, Goldie Hawn started dating Kurt Russell.

Oliver Hudson once made a post on Instagram during father’s day, and captioned a photo in the post, “Happy abandonment day.” His sister, Kate, also responded by posting a photo of Kurt Russell with the cation, “Pa, just simply… thank you. Happy Father’s Day. I love you to the moon and back.”

According to Bill, the separation from his children was heavily influenced by their mother Goldie Hawn. He shared in an interview that, Hawn wanted to create a perfect family with Russell, therefore, she did everything in her power to take him out of their children’s lives.

“When we split up, she never had a bad word to say about me. But when Kurt came on the scene, the narrative changed, and I became the big, bad wolf. I would say to her, ‘Goldie, why are you trashing me and saying I’m an absent father when it’s simply not the case?’ and she’d laugh and go, ‘Oh Bill, you know it makes for a better story,” he said.

“Goldie wanted to create this myth of a perfect family with Kurt, and she wanted me out,” he added.

Shawn and Russell have been together for almost 40 years now. They both share a son called Wyatt.
