Arnold later delved into acting before he became governor of California.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian and American actor, politician, entrepreneur, and former professional bodybuilder.

Born on July 30, 1947, in Thal, Austria, Arnold began weight lifting as a teenager and became Mr. universe at age 20.  He then went on to clinch the Mr. Olympia title seven times, making him one of the greatest bodybuilders of all times.

He earned the nickname the “Austrian Oak” during his bodybuilding days.

Arnold broke into Hollywood and starred in several action films such as The Terminator (1984), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), Terminator Genisys (2015), and Terminator: Dark Fate (2019).

His other successful action films included Commando (1985), The Running Man (1987), Predator (1987), Red Heat (1988), Total Recall (1990), and True Lies (1994).

Other films he appeared include Kindergarten Cop (1990), Junior (1994), and Jingle All the Way (1996).

Arnold got into politics as a Republican and served as the governor of California between 2003 and 2011.

After politics, he returned to the screens, and has so far written several books on bodybuilding.
