“Why I’m A Successful Musician”- Wizkid Opens Up

Popular Nigerian musician, Wizkid Ayo, has opened up on how he became a popular musician in the Nigerian entertainment industry over the years.

During an Instagram live session with Tony Elumelu Foundation, Wizkid disclosed that he made a conscious effort not to take no for answer anywhere he goes. He added that although he was the youngest in the music industry at the time he was bold enough to go for what he always dreamt of.

Wizkid said;

“I would say it’s never taking no for an answer. When I started, I was the youngest in music…everywhere I go to then, I was pretty much the youngest. But I didn’t take no for an answer, and that has really helped in shaping me into the man that I am today. When I think about it, I simply go for it”.

The Star Boy was named the Artiste of The Year at the just ended 14th Edition Headies Awards. He battled it out with Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and Davido to emerge the winner.
