A panipuri is a deep-fried crisp flatbread with a round hollow center that is filled with flavor-infused water, tamarind chutney, chili powder, chaat masala, potato mash, onion, or chickpeas.
Over time, Panipuri has undergone substantial change. The dish was formerly known as “gol gappa,” and it was made up of a little, hollow, fried wheat shell that was filled with seasoned mashed potatoes and served with water that had tamarind or mint flavors.
