Shaedon Sharpe is a Canadian basketball player. He was a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in his class at Dream City Christian School in Glendale, Arizona.

Sharpe was unranked by major recruiting agencies early in his high school career and quickly rose to become one of the top players in his class, thanks in part to his success in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League in 2021.
Sharpe joined Kentucky but did not play a single college game before entering the 2022 NBA Draft. He was selected seventh overall in the 2022 NBA draft.

Sharpe indicated that he gave a lot of thought to whether or not he wanted to play at Kentucky. He discussed his alternatives with his coaches and his family. But, in the end, it was his decision not to play.
Sharpe decided on his own. And it all came down to one thing for him: he knew he could still improve his basketball skills without playing.
