Although Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s marriage lasted barely six years, it was one of the most celebrity marriages of the time. Priscilla was Elvis’ only marriage, and the two had one daughter, Lisa Marie Presley
On the surface, the couple’s relationship appeared to be easy. However, Elvis fell in love with her while he was just in his early twenties, and he allegedly felt “pressure” to marry the woman ten years his junior.

Priscila revealed the truth to Barbara Walters in an interview: “I believe there was some pressure. We’d been together for six years and things were going nicely. Colonel Parker Elvis’ manager, I believe, suggested, ‘Either you get married or go on.’ ‘What are you doing if you’re not getting married?’”
The wedding appeared to be more of a business transaction and publicity stunt than a romantic event. Elvis proposed to Priscilla shortly before Christmas 1966, and they married on May 1, 1967, at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas.
Elvis frequently cheated on his wife both before and after their marriage, which eventually led to a divorce.
