Cuban-American baseball catcher, Yasmani Grandal, was suspended for 50 games in 2012, after testing positive to a high level of testosterone.

Grandal served his suspension at the start of the 2013 season.

Grandal plays for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB).

He had in time past, played for the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Milwaukee Brewers.

Also in 2013, the two-year MLB champion, had a knee injury and quit the game.

Is Yasmani Grandal Back?

Grandal came back and played for several seasons but in July 2021, he collapsed after a check swing and left the game again following a knee injury.

He underwent surgery to fix his torn tendon.

In his first game since being reactivated, Grandal recorded  with eight RBIs in a 17–13 win over the Chicago Cubs.

At the end of the season, he batted average .240 in 93 games, and hit 23 home runs with 62 RBIs.

Recently, Grandal experienced tightness in his left hamstring, with huge discomfort down his left leg. Initially he couldn’t walk but now he feels better.
