Ronaldinho de Assis Moreira, popularly known as Ronaldinho Gacho or just Ronaldinho, is a retired Brazilian professional footballer who primarily played as an offensive midfielder but was also used as a winger.

Ronaldinho is widely recognized as one of the best footballers of all time, having won two FIFA World Player of the Year honors as well as the Ballon d’Or.

He was known for his technical abilities, creativity, dribbling ability, and accuracy from free-kicks, usage of trickery, feints, no-look passes, and overhead kicks, as well as his ability to score and create goals, all of which stemmed from his early-age futsal experience.

Ronaldinho made his professional debut for Grêmio in 1998. He joined Paris Saint-Germain in France at the age of 20 before joining Barcelona in 2003.

Why did Ronaldinho leave Barcelona?

The Brazilian says that he made the decision to leave the club. Ronaldinho explained his departure by saying that Guardiola wanted him to stay when he joined in 2008.

He requested that I join his Barcelona team, but I declined. I had to leave Barcelona because my time there had just come to an end.
