Why did Robbie Williams leave Take That?

After only being together for five years, Robbie Williams was asked to leave the Take That band in July 1995 by the other four members.

Robbie Williams was also unhappy with being told what to do by the group’s management and there were also certain musical differences.

However, Take That was reportedly in the middle of their Nobody Else world tour when tensions began to escalate in the band because Robbie started to miss rehearsals due to his excessive partying, drinking and struggling in rehearsals.

Robbie Williams rejoined Take That in 2010 to co-write and perform lead vocals on their album Progress. He again left the band for a second time in 2011 to focus on his solo career on amicable terms.

Robbie Williams became the youngest member to join the boy band Take That in 1990 when he was sixteen years old. Robbie Williams attained commercial success after he launched a solo career in 1996.
