Nayanthara and her husband director Vignesh Shivan have announced that the couple has now become parents and this has really been met with a surprise from the side of fans of the couple the reason being that the world was unaware of the fact that the actress was pregnant all this time and given that they have gotten married this past June.

Now the reason that the world was unaware of the Lady Superstar of Tamil, Nayanthara was because of the reason that she never physically was pregnant. Instead, it seems that the couple has opted for getting their babies born into this world with the help of a surrogate.
Why did Nayan chose surrogacy?
Neither Vignesh Shivan nor Nayanthara have revealed anything much about the surrogacy, fans are still waiting for some sort of clarification from them but one thing that some of the fans don’t still understand is that this is a very personal and private choice of the couple and is very much normal too.

They might have reached this decision because of various factors and one among them could also be the fact that both of them are in the prime of their career.
Is surrogacy legal in India?
The Surrogacy Regulation Act, 2021. The Act allows only altruistic surrogacy, which means that the surrogate mother cannot receive any compensation apart from the medical expenses incurred during pregnancy including insurance coverage. Commercial surrogacy, where the surrogate is paid in cash or kind, is banned.
