Matt Redman has not left Soul Survivor. However, he recently spoke out about the harmful behaviors he experienced from Canon Mike Pilavachi, the founder of Soul Survivor. Canon Pilavachi resigned as Associate Pastor of Soul Survivor, Watford, on Tuesday, having been formally suspended in May.

Since the church first announced that he would “step back” from ministry while a safeguarding investigation was carried out, allegations have been published in national newspapers, including accounts of wrestling and full-body massages.

Matt Redman is an English Christian worship leader, singer-songwriter, and author. Matt Redman learned to play guitar at the Anglican church of St Andrew’s Chorleywood, and at the age of 20, he began leading worship services and released his first album.
Matt Redman’s two-time Grammy Award-winning single, “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)” was co-written with Jonas Myrin and reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Christian Songs chart in 2012.
Matt recorded his first album, Wake Up My Soul, at ICC studios in January and February 1994. In 2002, Redman co-wrote with his wife Beth, the 2002 Dove Award-winning “Blessed Be Your Name” (Worship Song of the Year).
