Why did Matt leave the Great British baking show?

Matt Lucas left the Great British baking show in December 2022 becavse of his heavy work schedule.

According to Matt Lucas, he could no longer commit to the programme’s schedule while working on other projects, like the revived comedy show Fantasy Football League of which he is a host.

In March 2020, Matt Lucas became the new co-host of the Channel 4 and Love Productions television show The Great British Bake Off, taking over from Sandi Toksvig.

Matt Lucas played Bill Snibson in a revival of Me and My Girl at Chichester Festival Theatre from 2 July to 25 August 2018.

Matt Lucas has also lent his voice to a number of projects including “Gnomeo & Juliet”, Astro Boy, Missing Link and The Queen’s Corgi.”

Matt Lucas played Thénardier in the 25th Anniversary Concerts of Les Misérables, at the O2 Arena in London on 3 October 2010.

Matt Lucas is best known for his work on the popular sketch comedy series “Little Britain” alongside David Walliams.
