Malik Willis is a quarterback for the Liberty Flames in the National Football League. He began his career with the Auburn Tigers before transferring to Liberty in 2019.

Willis decided to attend Liberty for two reasons. First and foremost, he recognised the importance of being able to play at his next stop, wherever it may be. After all, he only had two years of eligibility left when he transferred in 2019.
Willis told ESPN, “I needed to be able to come somewhere to play.” “I mentioned that there was a need somewhere. That was it. I didn’t care about anything else. It made no difference where I had to go.”
Willis’ choice was also influenced by his religious beliefs. He remembered praying for a chance to play and relying on his faith to guide him through the transfer process.

Willis thought Liberty, an Evangelical university, would be a good fit for him. He also had the impression that he had been given a sign that he was in the right place. His daily Bible app displayed a verse that he saw painted on the wall of Liberty’s football facility on the day of his visit.
“I’m like, ‘There’s no way.’” There’s no way.’ “I ain’t telling nobody,” Willis said. “I just sort of kept it to myself.” But I knew right away, ‘Yep, this is the place I’m supposed to go.’
