The American Library Association has listed Blume as one of the most frequently challenged authors of the 21st century. Her novels have also been adapted into movies, including the 2012 film “Tiger Eyes,” starring Willa Holland as Davey.
Judith Blume Sussman was born on February 12, 1938, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, United States. Some of Judy Blume’s most famous works include “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret,” “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing,” “Deenie,” and “Blubber.”
Judy Blume graduated from New York University in 1961. She started writing as a form of self-entertainment while she was a homemaker. Blume was also honoured as a Library of Congress Living Legend.
