Why did Jeff Cohen quit acting?

American child actor, Jeff Cohen was the fanboy and one of the people’s favorites in the 80s. He played the role of Chunk where he was the topic of most jokes and was heavily undervalued. However, he ends up saving the day almost always at the end of the day by becoming friends with the villain’s abused son, Sloth.

Unfortunately, his acting dreams did not transcend to reality as he grows out of shape. He shared that once he started losing weight and losing the ‘appearance’ he had as a child actor, he stopped getting calls from producers and filmmakers. This happened as soon as he hit puberty.

“I was transforming from Chunk to hunk and I couldn’t get roles anymore,” he said.

“I didn’t give up acting, acting gave me up,” he added.

He is now a renowned attorney who works on the business side of the movie industry and has helped several actors and actress secure legal actions in the industry.
