Why Did Guns and Roses Break Up?

The break up of the Guns N’ Roses rock band can be traced to when Slash quit the band after a faceoff with the band leader Axl Rose in 1996.

The rift began after Slash was to play for Michael Jackson’s concert but Rose was not in support because Rose had been molested by Michael Jackson’s father when he was just two.

Inspite of Rose’s reasons, Slash still went ahead to play for Michael Jackson and Rose felt betrayed.

Who Is Axl Rose?

Axl Rose is a musician and songwriter known for being the lead singer of the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses.

Born on February 6, 1962, in Lafayette, Indiana, USA, Rose is a founding member of the band, Guns N’ Roses, which was launched in 1985.

Rose is one of the greatest musicians of all time, and well known for his unique and powerful wide-ranging voice.

In 1987, Guns N’ Roses released its debut album, Appetite for Destruction, which sold over 30 million copies across the globe.

Afterwards, the band released its second album Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II, in 1991, recording much success once more.

After two and half years of working together, the band split but Rose continued working under the Guns N’ Roses band name.

In 2012, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Guns N’ Roses.

Rose who is known for tossing his microphone to the crowd at the end of his performances, recently said he will refrain from the tradition, following a recent injury sustained by a fan at a concert in Australia after Rose tossed the mic into the crowd.
