Wyclef Jean, the founder of The Fugees, revealed some insight about his past with Lauryn Hill in his autobiography purpose.

“Jean was married at the time but had an affair with bandmate, Hill. He says that the reason the Fugees broke up was that Hill lied about a paternity test for their child. He writes in his autobiography that Hill tricked him into believing the child was his. The real father was Bob Marley’s son, Rohan.

Jean continues to say that the betrayal led to the group’s break-up in 1997. He said, “She could no longer be my muse. Our Love spell was broken”.
