Former wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers Donald Driver had retired in 2012 because he felt it was the right time to do so.

Driver had spent the entire 14 years of his career playing for only one team – the Green Bay Packers.
“I feel like it was my time. I knew once the Packers told me they weren’t going to sign me back, it made it easy for me. I’ve always said, even back in 2002, the day I announce I’m retired, I’m retired”, Driver once said.

Donald Driver had spent his entire career playing as a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, and was regarded as “one of the most consistent wide receivers in the game.”
The Texas-born native helped the Packers win Super Bowl XLV, and till date, he still holds “the franchise’s all-time records for most career receptions and receiving yards.”

Driver was “drafted by the Green Bay Packers as 213th overall in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft.”
He retired in 2012 with 743 receptions, 10,137 receiving yards, and 61 receiving touchdowns.
In 2017, Driver was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
The mayor of Green Bay awarded him with a key to the city and erected a receiver statue with a No. 80 (Driver’s jersey) in front of the former Packers Hall of Fame.
Driver has now transitioned into media and founded the Donald Driver Foundation, an NGO located in Wisconsin and Texas.
