In 2015, he made a significant move to Yorkshire, which further solidified his reputation as a valuable all-rounder in the English domestic circuit.

Willey also had stints in T20 leagues around the world, including playing for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League (BBL) and the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He had a successful run with Chennai Super Kings in 2018 and 2019.

He was signed by Northern Superchargers for the inaugural edition of The Hundred tournament and even served as the team’s captain for the first edition of the tournament when Faf du Plessis was ruled out.

International Career

Willey made his international debut for England in 2015, starting with One Day Internationals (ODIs) and subsequently representing the country in T20 Internationals (T20Is). His performances in ODIs and T20Is showcased his ability as an all-rounder.

One of his notable achievements was being a part of the England team that reached the final of the ICC T20 World Cup in 2016. His consistent performances earned him a place in the ‘Team of the Tournament’ for the 2016 T20 World Cup.
